Director of User Experience

Our Director of User Experience will be responsible for transforming our end to end customer experience while leading and growing our UX team and capability. In this role, you will advocate for and design holistic, end to end experiences for all users. You have proven design and facilitative leadership abilities and enjoy a mix of hands on research, product strategy & team management. You will have extensive experience in bringing innovative products to market along with a good sense of what job the target persona is looking to get done.

Responsibilities:

You will be joining a team that drives vision and product development for the Sales Readiness market. In this role you will apply your passion for design, product development and the impossible to guide research and design processes, mentor talented members of your team, and collaborate with leaders across UX teams, product management, & product development. You possess a clear vision of the future of UX and have the courage to pursue forward thinking design.

We expect a spontaneous and innovative creative process, executing UX design work that includes: research, concepts, prototypes, detailed design, and implementation. Above all the candidate should be a master of storytelling and visualizing experiences with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to create experiences that delight consumers.

The right candidate will ensure full integration of brand, industrial design, user interface, graphic design, usability, and business strategy. The candidate will have demonstrated strength in leadership to deliver through all stages of product development from initial ideation to shipping and supporting multiple generations of the final product.

  • Leading by example, drive new and compelling experiences
  • Establish a product UX vision & lead a small team of designers to deliver and meet experience, schedule, and product goals
  • Define user experience quality metrics and work across teams to meet
  • Establish a UX design and development process across all Brainshark products
  • Work within design to coordinate testing efforts / interpret results
  • Effectively communicate with developers through implementation phase to realize design vision
  • Communicate, defend, and build consensus around UX architecture and interaction design direction

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in designing and leading user experience, user interface, information architectures, interaction design, user research, prototyping and usability testing for b2b market
  • Experience leading and managing distributed creative teams and building a culture for creative excellence
  • A track record establishing great relationships and working with other disciplines, such as product management, marketing, and engineering
  • A strong body of work that shows your UX track record of high-quality solutions that address user problems and business goals
  • Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Experience working within agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Sketch, Invision, Axure and/or other design and ideation tools
